The November custard calendar wasn't up before we left this morning, so our preview post had to wait until tonight. Very excited for the return of chocolate hazelnut!
Tuesday - pretz-idential caramel - Festive for Election Day, we're guessing this will be a mix of pretzels and caramel (not sure if it's vanilla or chocolate custard). It's not a combination that I love, but A likes it more, so we'll see how this goes. Hopefully they mix in real pretzel pieces.
Wednesday - pumpkin pie - This one is repeated a lot on the custard calendar (as recently as October). As we said then, we think we overrated it when we tried it the first time, so we might have to retry it. However, with all the new custards this month, we might not get a chance this time to re-rate it.
Thursday - apple spice cake - We both kind of liked this one when we tried it last year but were disappointed that it didn't actually have any cake.
Friday - cranberry almond marzipan - Another new one that interests us. We expect that it should taste exactly how it sounds, hopefully with those ingredients actually mixed in.
Saturday - maple cheesecake - I am not sure what to expect, but A thinks it's possible that the maple flavoring might make it extra sweet, almost too sweet.
Sunday - chocolate hazelnut - our most favorite Shake Shack custard ever and I think the only one that has ever gotten a 10. We cannot wait to get more of this! Best news I heard all day.
If we try everything new, it will be a busy month for us, as there are 4 new ones, and of course we need to get some chocolate hazelnut custard. Let's see how November goes!
