Red Ribbon Concrete

Today, to observe World AIDS Day, Shake Shack Theater District offered a special concrete with proceeds to be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS - the Red Ribbon concrete.

The Red Ribbon concrete consists of vanilla custard blended with strawberry sauce, marshmallow sauce, and crispy Nilla wafers, and topped with cinnamon sugar. The strawberry sauce gave it a nice pink/red color for the special day.

We liked it. The strawberry sauce was really good and dominated the flavor of the concrete. Our least favorite part was probably the Nilla wafers, as they were hard cookies in an otherwise creamy concrete. We didn't really taste the marshmallow sauce or cinnamon sugar, but it was still good.

We really love when Shake Shack runs specials and try to catch them all. I wonder what will be next!
