Happy November! It feels like October went by incredibly fast, but that could be because we spent the last week of it over in London. It was our first time visiting the capital of the United Kingdom, and we tried to fit in a lot of sightseeing and a lot of eating in just one week. Because of that, it wasn't the most relaxing trip, but we did make a lot of good memories. Also, while it was a new country for us and good to get away, it oddly didn't feel like much of an escape. It was remarkable to us how much London felt like NYC. We weren't really prepared for that, but there were many times that we didn't feel like we had traveled so far from home at all.
We got really lucky with the weather in London!
Over the course of the week, we tried lots of English classics, like fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, pie and mash, and Cornish pasties, and we also took advantage of London's diverse and multicultural restaurant scene, trying the cuisines of 5 countries we had never had before and which are harder to find at home. That means we have tons of new stuff to recap. Stay tuned!
