July Custard Calendar

The July custard calendar is up with some interesting new flavors:

Monday - salted peanut cola (new to us)
Tuesday - strawberry blonde (had but never reviewed)
Wednesday - devil's food (new to us but maybe a renaming of blackout custard?)
Thursday - chocolate chip cookie (7.5/10)
Friday - blueberry buttermilk doughnut (new and a contest winner!)
Saturday - caramelized peach (6.25/10)
Sunday - buttery caramel cocoa nib (8/10)

The Friday custard is the inaugural create your own custard flavor contest winner and we are completely on board with a flavor like that. We can't wait to try it. Blueberry coffee cake is one of our favorite custard flavors and we've liked doughnuts mixed in to our concretes, so hopefully this will be a great one.

A little more wary of the salted peanut cola, as we've never had that combination before (Google and Coca-Cola tell me it's a Southern thing). I don't really like cola as a flavor generally (I love Haribo but am just not a fan of the Happy Cola or things like that), and A likes it much more than I do. The addition of salted peanut to cola sounds interesting. Not sure if we will like it, but keeping an open mind.

Looking forward to trying a new slate of custards!
