Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

When the August custard calendar came out, our "priority" flavors were strawberry shackcake (Thursday) and blueberry coffee cake (Saturday). (Caramelized peach, fromage blanc raspberry swirl and basil would ordinarily be interesting, but we're fairly sure we have had them all before, even if we didn't blog about them (yet).) As it happens, the first flavor we tried for August was chocolate peanut butter fudge (Friday).

The August custard calendar - what would you pick first?

We were looking forward to chocolate peanut butter fudge because it should be a good combination of flavors. I was thinking it would be like a Reese's peanut butter cup, and after a long day at the office, that would be a nice treat. This is also a combination that A gets when we go to Coldstone, so he was thinking it would be fairly similar.

It was ok, but nothing special. It definitely tasted like chocolate. I thought it had peanut butter flavor too, but A didn't think it was very strong and he had hoped for more (especially since Coldstone's has more peanut butter flavor). Not sure where the fudge comes in, but it just tasted like chocolate. It wasn't bad but not worth getting again, in our opinion.
